Mr. Sunil Godhwani, Chairman and Managing Director, Religare Enterprises Limited, is the driving force behind the company. Sunil brings to the company strong leadership skills, vigor and a passion for excellence. He has been instrumental in establishing Religare's vast network and shaping the Company's strategies in India and abroad. He is on a constant lookout for taking the Company to new heights by managing various acquisitions, finding new partners for joint ventures and scouting new avenues for the business. Under his able leadership, Religare Enterprises Limited is India's fastest growing, integrated financial services company with a significant presence in 12 countries across Asia, Africa, Middle East, Europe and the Americas. Sunil has a diverse and wide-ranging experience of over two decades in managing large scale businesses, he also serves as Director on the Boards of Religare Technova Limited, Super Religare Laboratories Limited, Religare Macquarie Wealth Management Limited, AEGON Religare Life Insurance Company Limited, Religare Voyages Limited, Fortis Healthcare Limited and other subsidiaries/ Group companies of Religare.
A powerful orator and a great motivator, Sunil has been awarded with many awards and accolades. Recently he has been awarded 'India Business Leader of the Year' award at Global Indian Business Meeting hosted by Horasis, in Madrid, Spain and "CEO of the year Award" at CEO CLUBS INTERNATIONAL Awards.
Born in New Delhi, Sunil completed his schooling from prestigious St. Columba's School post which he went abroad for studying. He holds a B. Sc. Degree in Chemical Engineering and a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering & Finance from Polytechnic Institute of New York. He loves Chinese food and is an avid sports enthusiast with interest in Cricket, Table Tennis and Golf.

Mr. Shachindra Nath
Mr. Shachindra Nath (Group Chief Executive Officer) Religare Enterprises Ltd., aged 39 years, carries the overall responsibility for managing all pivotal operations of the group. He is associated with Religare since the year 2000 and is prominently known as a dynamic strategist.
He has been instrumental in building various businesses under Religare fold from scratch and have hands on experience in most of the businesses. His expertise and in-depth analysis of the business is the core to all group business operations and development plans. Mr. Nath steers all action plans of the group. His competence in tapping the right opportunities and creating the perfect blueprint for growing the business is greatly valued and respected.

Mr. Shachindra Nath is a highly accomplished professional with a meritorious service and academic record. Mr. Nath received a Bachelor's degree in Law from the Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi in which he was the topper in his University. Additionally, he did a Post Graduate diploma in Intellectual Property Rights from the Amity Law College, Delhi.
Mr. Nath started his professional career immediately after his graduation at the age of 21 years and worked as Commercial Trainee with Garware Wall Ropes, after which alongside his legal studies worked as consultant to gain hands on experience in Finance, Costing and Taxation. He then moved to run a Non Woven Plant with a Carpet Export Company. He has over 16 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Nawshir D. Khurody began his career at Tata Administrative Services (TAS) and joined their Tea business (TataTea) in the early 1960s and then moved on to Voltas where, between 1965 & 1977 worked extensively in theareas of International Operations & Exports handling East Europe, Russia, Middle East & South East Asia.From there, he moved to Qatar where till 1983 worked at Head – Engineering Sales & Projects with Mannai
Corporation a large engineering company in the Gulf. Having guided the company into larger domains, hemoved back to India to head Merck Sharp &Dohme (MSD India). In a domain largely dominated by MNCs, hesteered the company to exceptional levels in professional corporate governance & product superiority. With Vitamin B-12 becoming a global product, MSD India was catapulted into the league of world leaders in
pharmaceutical products.
With a rich experience of creating success stories, he moved back to Voltas as Managing Director, India wherehe took on the task of turning around the company from the path towards BIFR to a highly profitable business. With the company having exhausted all its financial resources, had to re-structure businesses rapidly andre-focus on value engineering of products & services, ultimately re-emerging as an icon with a fresh set of
values in the areas of finance & risk management, IT systems, HR initiatives & governance. The story of Voltasis today an example taken in many corporate corridors of India.
Nawshir retired in 2001 as a key member of the Apex Strategic Management Group set up by R.N. Tata, withnot only an executive career dotted with innumerable corporate successes, but also key role to play in the waycorporate India has shaped up over the years. He has also undertaken specific assignments for the NationalDairy Development Board as well as ESAB India Ltd., where he acted as 'advisor' and drove the company to its current global status. He is also Advisor to Shapoorji Pallonji Group, where his prime focus is into assisting an Accelerated Leadership Development process for their managers & engineers, and also Advisor to Jost’s Engineering Co. Ltd., providing strategic advice across all the functions.
He is also Strategic Advisor – Organisation Effectiveness with Tata Strategic Management Group.
Nawshir has been educated at Trinity College, Cambridge (UK) from where he has graduated in 1958 with aMaster of Arts degree in Economics.

| Dr. Amit Varma

Dr Amit Varma currently operates as President Health Care, Religare Enterprises and Director, Critical Care Medicine, Fortis Escorts group of Hospitals, India. Having completed his MBBS and MD from University of Delhi, Dr Varma further completed his residency from the State University of New York. Thereafter he went on to pursue fellowships in critical care at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and sub specialized in cardiac critical care at the Cleveland Clinic. Alongside this, he also attended courses for an Executive MBA at the University of Chicago.
After almost a decade in USA, Dr Varma began his professional journey in India at the Manipal Heart Foundation in Bangalore. He subsequently moved on to the Narayan Hrudayalaya Hospital as the consultant- in-charge of Critical Care. Early in 2003, Dr Varma joined Fortis Healthcare, where he has and continues to perform multiple administrative and clinical roles. He currently runs the integrated critical care services for Fortis Healthcare ICU network, which today comprises of a strong three-Hundred beds and helps in formulation of Medical Strategy.
At Religare from 2009, Dr Varma is actively engaged in all healthcare initiatives of the company, playing an advisory and steering role, overlooking and further initiating all healthcare related businesses, providing medical expertise, insight and credibility in all healthcare related verticals such as Health Insurance venture, Healthcare IT, Super Religare Labs and Religare Wellness. He also sits on the Board and Investment committee of the 125$ million Milestone Religare Private Equity fund which is investing domestically in the healthcare and education fields.
Apart from his medical and management background, Dr Varma continues to be a visiting faculty at the University of Pittsburgh and the Cleveland Clinic. Having functioned as healthcare consultant to the World Bank and the European commission with special interest in quality, he is currently on the editorial board and a member of various healthcare and management groups and societies. Dr Varma also acts as the Medical Editor for CNN-IBN.

Mr Amit Sarup carries the overall responsibility of leading the private equity business of the group. A seasoned wealth management professional, he is the Whole-time Director at Religare Macquarie Wealth Management and also oversees the Arts business, carried under Religare Arts Initiative, both ventures in which he has been involved in setting up and creating from the beginning.
Amit received a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Delhi and a master’s degree in business administration from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, India. Prior to joining Religare, he was Vice-President, Wealth Management at the Kotak Mahindra Group and held several key positions there from 2000 to 2005. He has over 18 years of experience in the capital markets and financial services industry.

A Professor in the Corporate Strategy & Policy Area & JamunaRaghavan Chair Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB), India, Prof. Krishnan’s research interests are in the areas of strategy, innovation and competitiveness.
Prof. Krishnan has been a member of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Science and Technology Task Force, the Advisory Council of CII’s National Innovation Mission, and on the jury of Nasscom’s innovation awards. He has been a member of government committees to review the performance of the National Innovation Foundation, and to study “The Future of Aviation and Aeronautics in India.” He has done external reviews of the plan schemes of India’s Department of Scientific & Industrial Research and the Department of Biotechnology’s SBIRI scheme.
Being an independent director on the boards of Smartlink Network Systems Ltd., Sundaram BNP Paribas Asset Management Company Ltd., Halbit Avionics Pvt. Ltd., (a joint venture between HAL and Elbit Systems) and Milestone Religare Investment Advisors Pvt. Ltd., Prof. Krishnan has also been a consultant to, or conducted management development programs for, British Telecom, Daimler Chrysler, Wipro, Siemens, Sasken Communication Technologies, the Murugappa Group, the Aditya Birla Group, Kochi Refineries and the Governments of India and Karnataka.
He holds an M.Sc. in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology at Kanpur; and an M.S. in Engineering-Economic Systems (now Management Science & Engineering) from Stanford University. He obtained his doctoral qualification from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, where his thesis proposal won the outstanding thesis proposal award instituted by the Industrial Finance Corporation of India.
